Katy Walden – Painter

Katy is a painter based in Warwick who works predominantly in oils. She graduated from Falmouth School of Art with a BA(Hons) degree in Fine Art and draws inspiration from a wide range of subjects from places visited, everyday objects, flowers and people.

Katy's work is observational, and she enjoys painting from life, using a visual language of brushstrokes to capture the light and essence of the subject. For landscapes painted in the studio, she works from sketches, photos and memories, working intuitively and allowing the work to take on its own life.
